Budget 2025 includes $20 million to plan new primary care centres that will improve access to essential services across Alberta.

Minister of Health Jason Copping issued the following statement on Ovarian Cancer Month: 

Opioid-related deaths in Alberta have decreased by nearly 50 per cent in July 2022 compared to the peak. 

Albertans across the province now have access to the Digital Overdose Response System (DORS), an app that helps prevent a fatal overdose when using opioids and other substances alone at home.

Opioid-related fatalities in Alberta decreased 31 per cent in March 2022 since peaking in December 2021.
