A first in Canada, firefighters in Edmonton are joining the fight against opioid overdose by supporting immediate access to addiction treatment and supporting families. 

Grants totalling $11 million will transform palliative and end-of-life care that eases suffering for Albertans with a life-limiting illness.

Starting Oct. 25, Albertans need to provide proof of two COVID-19 vaccine doses to access many restaurants, movies, sporting events and other businesses provincewide.

More physicians will have the opportunity to complete their medical training in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in the future through a family medicine residency site.
